Ratho Golf Links
Ratho is the oldest golf course in Australia and is one of the oldest surviving golf courses outside of Scotland. Ratho Golf Links is a public golf course, open to all golfers throughout the year. The green fee is only $15 for either 9 or 18 holes, with funds going towards the maintenance and restoration of the golf links.

"The arrival of golf in the Australian colonies is interwoven with the early development of the game in Scotland. Today, the Ratho golf links remain one of the world's best preserved, ancient golfing grounds." Much fascinating history and more information at Ratho Golf website, linked above.

Bothwell Golf Club is "A small club based at the Ratho Farm Golf Links". Visitors are welcome to join in all competitions except the Club Championships. Read more at Bothwell Golf Club.

The Highlands Pro Am at Bothwell
In 2011 the PGA Pro Am circuit started at Australia’s oldest golf course – Ratho Farm at Bothwell, this was the first time the venue had hosted a professional event. The Highlands Pro-Am at Bothwell Golf Club was played over 15 holes. Par 56. It came with some interesting local rules, including "If your ball hits a sheep, you can replay your shot". More at PGA Events.

Ratho Farm Golf Links is part of Ratho Farm. The address of Ratho Farm is 2122 Highland Lakes Road (A5). Going north, 20 km from the turn off at Melton Mowbray, through Bothwell on the Highland Lakes Rd, you cross Clyde River just after you have passed through the village, and there, on the right hand side is the Golf course. 100 metres after you cross the river there is a farm road on the right hand side leading to the Ratho Farm homestead, with Wentworth Street going to the left at the same place. When you drive another 300 metres along the Highland Lakes Rd you will find the turn-off to Ratho Farm Golf Links, also on the right hand side.
